What is Air Suvidha?

Air Suvidha is a contactless solution by Ministry of Civil Aviation and Delhi Airport for all international passengers coming to India. It is a Self Reporting for International arriving passengers

Are these forms created for all International airports in India?

What is a self-reporting form?

All International arriving passengers are required to fill the self-reporting form as mandated by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. Air Suvidha is an online system for International passengers to submit mandatory Self-Reporting Form to declare their current health status. This form is mandatory and should be filled anytime before boarding.

What happens after I submit the self reporting form?

On submission, the mandatory self- reporting application will be forwarded to the Airport Health Organization (APHO) under the Ministry Of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Passengers can then refer to their email inbox for the updated application document. Passenger should show this document on arrival in India at the APHO counter and proceed for immigrations

What are the guidelines on RT-PCR test for international travel into India?

Passengers need to upload a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR report (The test should have been conducted within 72 hrs prior to undertaking the journey)

Is RT-PCR test mandatory?

2% of the total flight passengers shall undergo random testing on arrival. Passengers will need to submit the samples and shall be allowed to leave the airport. Children under 5 years of age are exempted from both pre- and post-arrival testing.

What are the quarantine rules in Mumbai for passengers arriving at Mumbai Airport on International Air Bubble Flights?

Is there any change in the airport entry/check-in process?

In order to ensure passenger safety various measure have been taken at the airport. However, there is no major change in the process. Passengers to enter from departure entry gate designated to their airline. It may please be noted that the passenger(s):

  • Should have completed the web-checking before arriving at the airport;
  • Shall have to go through thermal scanning successfully as per the Government guidelines. Any passengers with symptoms of COVID-19 infection will not be allowed to enter the airport terminal building.
  • May be required to provide self-declaration about their health and well-being.
  • Are advised to go through the Govt. guidelines and confirm the flight status with their respective airlines before leaving for the airport.
  • He/she should also download the baggage tag/baggage identification number.

All passengers are requested to carry the Air Suvidha Self declaration acknowledgment to be presented upon arrival.

What are the guidelines issued for Domestic Vaccinated Passengers who have been vaccinated with both the doses prior to their arrival into the state?

All passengers vaccinated with both the doses of the Covid 19 vaccine and 15 days have lapsed since the administration of seoncd dose of the vaccine and are in possession of the final vaccination certificate issued through the CoWIN portal will be exempted from the mandatory requirement of a negative RT PCR report for entry into the state.

Is face mask mandatory at the airport?

In view of the guidelines published by MoCA order no. 29017/14/2020-DT dated 10.05.2022 and DGCA order no. 4/1/ 2020-IR dated 08.06.2022 there has to be strict compliance of COVID-19 protocols at Airport and Inside the aircraft. Passengers must wear a facemask at all times during the travel.

What are the measures taken to ensure awareness about usage of facemask?

Frequent announcements are made to ensure that passengers are wearing facemask and following COVID protocols.

What are the sanitization measures implemented at the airport?

Frequent sanitization is being carried out across the terminal. In addition, sanitizer dispensers are placed at prominent locations in the terminal.

What are the actions taken in case passengers do not abide to the COVID protocols?

Please note in case the passenger violates COVID protocols or refuses to wear mask even after repeated warnings,

  1. Passenger without a facemask will not be permitted to enter the terminal. CISF personnel deployed at the entrance of the Airport will ensure that no one is allowed to enter the Airport without wearing a mask.
  2. At the airport, he/ she can be fined as per the State Law and he/ she may be handed over to Security Agencies for dealing with the matter as per the applicable law on the subject.
  3. Before departure- He/ she can be deboarded.
  4. During the course of the flight such passenger may be treated as “Unruly Passenger” and procedure in respect of handling such unruly passenger shall be followed by the concerned airline.

Passengers are advised to wear facemask properly and continue to wear the mask throughout the journey inside the aircraft.

What precautions I can take to prevent theft from my checked-in luggage?

  1. Keep your valuable objects on your person and don’t store them (however hidden) in your checked bags. Jewelry, cash, cameras and other expensive or important items easily show up on security scanners and should never be packed in your checked-in luggage.
  2. Know what you packed by writing it down on a list (you can add items you buy along the way). Keep the list on your mobile device or simply photograph everything before you pack it all in. This helps you confirm a theft has occurred and makes it easier to report what’s missing.
  3. Lock your bags with luggage locks or locking luggage straps. It will help prevent theft by making your bag look less easy to access.
